About Us
MAYA Collection is an innovative ministry that evangelizes and mentors local refugee women through a micro business. Since 2009, Maya Collection has helped over 75 Louisville refugee women become empowered as independent artisans and entrepreneurs. Maya Collection is an artisan cooperative comprised of approximately 25 Nepali refugee women who design and produce handmade products that are sold online and at local shops and craft markets in Louisville. These one-of-a-kind products include jewelry, leather goods, handbags, soaps and knitted items. This group of local refugees meet at a site in south Louisville with a team of volunteers from several local churches. Over the last twelve years Maya Collection has gone from knitting simple scarves to creating unique products that are sold in Louisville’s finest boutiques. MAYA Collection's mission is to share the love of Jesus with each of our artisans and help them discover their God-given talents and gifts.
